Get Ready for Gettysburg Rocks 2015

Gettysburg is a quaint town, but in February it is a live music mecca that rivals Bike Week. Gettysburg Rocks, the annual fundraiser for the Penn State Hershey Children’s Pediatric Cancer Fund, has been growing since its inaugural year in 2014 and is catching on like wildfire. This bi-annual fundraising music festival occurs the 2nd weekend of every February and August. In it’s first year Gettysburg Rocks booked over 300 bands and raised over $23,000 for The Four Diamonds Fund.

This year the festival will feature 150 bands from all over. If you ever wanted to get a broad swatch of music genres in one weekend without sweating it out on the lawn of some outdoor music festival this summer, try this music extravaganza close to home and indoors!

Over 20 venues will host this event over the course of three days; Friday the 6th, Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th. There is something for everyone. Blues metal, folk, punk, and punk-folk – Americana, Ska, classic rock, country and lots more.

Keep track of the band schedule and their music genres here.
