What You Missed Last Weekend: Problem Child is Back with a Vengeance

Here’s What You Missed . . .

Its been a long summer with Problem Child on a summer hiatus. They came back with a vengeance at home base; Stables Westminster, and there’s nothing like Problem Child at Stables. They brought with them lots of cool additions to the set list including an awesome Van Halen medley. Downside to this; hard to find a song to leave the dance floor on and take a bathroom break. Jonathan Plevyak Live at Rafaels this Friday: “Expect A Lot of Jammin”

We all know by now that lots of great cover bands come from the Carroll County region, that’s what inspired, but we also have some awesome original acts thriving here who have gained regional and national notoriety. Jonathan Plevyak is one of those artists.

He is not only a great up and coming pop artist from right here in Carroll County, but he has recorded his first full length album, a video and opened for national acts; all before reaching drinking age. Fresh out of High School Plevyak is on the music scene fast track. He will be at Rafael’s in Westminster this Friday. We give you your first look at a hometown boy making good. Good music that is, in this interview. Continue reading

Meet the Band: Liquid Lucky

Itching to try something new on the weekends? Tired of the same old same old? Meet the Band is our regular series introducing local bands who play in the area. Get to know your local live music options.

What Kind of Music do You Play?

Liquid Lucky is a four piece rock band.  We play a mixture of originals and covers.  Anything from ACDC and the Cult to Tom Petty and Brian Adams, but it will be done Liquid Lucky style!

Crowds Go Wild When We Sing . . .

We have an original song called “Live In The Is,”  and we do a really high energy version of “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash.

Anything New on the Set List?

We are always writing new songs and looking for that cover song that we can make our own.

We Regularly Play at these Local Venues . . .

We’ve played Ramshead a number of times. We have played Bike Week in Ocean City.  We play Belisimos several times a year and   we’re always looking for new places to play.
