Winter is over! its safe to come out and its just in time. Westminster kicks off its third annual restaurant week this weekend. Your favorite haunts and maybe a few you haven’t tried yet are serving up their best menu items from Friday April 4th until Saturday the 12th. That’s two weekends to savor the culinary delights of Carroll County’s finest.
Live music is a great accompaniment to any meal and the choices during restaurant week run the gamut from original blues and roots with Christopher James at Johansonn’s (April 11th) to Nashville songwriter and guitarist Rich Fehle at Rafeal’s on the 11th. If you’re looking for more traditional fare, try eclectic cover band Sloe Jim who will be at Johansson’s on the 4th; their set list includes Dave Matthews, Coldplay, Bob Marley, and Led Zeppelin. Eclectic enough?
Still looking for a little more “umph?” we suggest Maggies on Saturday the 12th. Self-described as “the most interesting band in the world,” Three Sheets to the Wind will take over the front of the house with their own brand of “yacht rock” loosely translated as a full complement of soft rock performed with more energy and flair than you might suspect judging from their voluminous photo album on facebook. Enjoy the food, drink and live music!
